Son, This College Basketball Coach Did Very Bad Things

Guess it is time to go ahead and have a talk with my son about the Penn State basketball incident regarding Paterno and Sandusky, you know the one I am talking about right? Not sure how it is going to go yet, but sure it will be interesting to say the least. I think it is fair to be the one who discusses it with him rather than anyone else, such as classmates or teachers. Well, basically it is my job as a responsible parent. It seems so much easier to let it go and ignore it, but the reality is it can help him with his future by taking the time and talking about it. The difficult part seems to be that the men involved were highly respected and did a lot of good for the community and the world for that matter. Every time that I heard either one of those guys names before it brought good into my world. Sorry, seems I am getting a bit off topic here. Back to the talk. It will be about looking out and making sure people don’t do weird things with him. If he senses anything strange then he needs to get out of the situation and contact someone he knows one hundred percent he can trust, such as myself or my wife. Hopefully he will never have to experience anything like what happened to the victims, but it is an imperfect world and odd stuff happens. The only thing that can be done is to have a plan of action in place to minimize the downside.
